French,France
Context : General vocabulary

: (Myth & Legend / European Myth & Legend) a child believed to have been exchanged by fairies for the parents' true child.

L'enfant échangé, is the French word which comes to my mind.

Is there any other term for "changeling" in French ?

Regards

I meant this is what I would say (as a native speaker).
Reading Nietzsche at the moment and he employs the German word "Wechselbalg" which translates directly the English concept "changeling". In the French translation I have they have put "ces petits monstres substitués par les fées" - because the monstrous element can indeed be important, depending on the context.
on trouve: un changelin ou changeon
