One of my friends is getting married next Saturday, and he said the following:

Getting married on Saturday! Going to the chapel and I'm going to get married! And by chapel I mean California winery. Then off to the honeymoon in Panama.

I know that chapel is a place where religious services are conducted, but I don't quite get the play on word. What is the connection between chapel and winery?

Thank you for whatever help you can provide!

He is quoting an old popular song that starts "Oh I'm going to the chapel and I'm going to get married." Then he playfully says "by chapel I mean California winery". It's a fun way to say he is going to have his wedding in the winery.
Aha! Thanks Nunty! The hardest thing to learning in English is all the references native speakers make!
