Hi, I would like to know what are the difference between

she runs like a kangaroo
she runs as a kangaroo does

I get confused at the second sentence. 👁 Frown :(
Both sentences are correct. Also "she runs like a kangaroo does" and "she runs as a kangaroo".
Grammatically they are all correct because the words "does run" is understood after the statement
"she runs like a kangaroo". (a comparison is being made) and we have omitted "does run" in the first and "run" in the second. In both cases the omissions need to be added in to make the sentence grammatically correct.
Of the two the first usage is far more common.
Hope that makes sense.
By the way kangaroos can't run - they hop (so I'm told)👁 Smile :)
