How can we say "danger zone" in Arabic? As in the context:
Your grades are falling into the danger zone.
________تسقط علاماتك
How would we phrase this sentence?
!شكرا جزيلا
Actually, a literal translation would be منطقة الخطر. I had the same thought as Arabian Prince, that as this is a highly idiomatic usage in English a literal translation may not work. But I imagine there are other ways to express it in an idiomatic manner in Arabic.
Josh,
That's right, but if you want to use منطقة الخطر you shouldn't be using falling, instead, you should use entering .. علاماتك تدخل منطقة الخطر

but still, using the word "zone" in the sentence doesn't sound native .. for me I would say مستواك في خطر your level (academic level) is in danger or علاماتك في خطر your grades are in danger .. or more idiomatic phrase علاماتك تسقط في الهاوية your grades are falling into the abyss
