How would you translate the expression diddly-doo? If there's not a translation, is there some approximate meaning?

Thanks! 👁 Smile :)
Well, I don't have any context phrase, because the person only says it as an exclamation. I'll copy the dialogue that led to the phrase:

A-Yeah, we used to have them nearly every night then.
B-What did you do with them?
A-Well, in a frying pan, you know.
B-Yeah.
A-Diddly-doo.

(They're talking about cooking sprats)

One last thing, this is British English.

Delicious.......Probab-adiddle-ly (As Ned Flanders* would say 👁 Big Grin :D

There is an expression used by single people 'on the pull' (on the town and looking for lurv). When you see someone who you think is attractive, you say to your friend "diddly-do". If you see someone unattractive you say "diddly-don't"

Example

"See those two girls over there?"
"Diddly-do!"
"Exactly, but mine's better looking!"

So, as mijoch says, in this context it's an expression of approval.
