What is the difference in point of view between syntax and semantics when referring to Sentence Patterns?

Welcome to the forum. Did you look these words up in a dictionary?

Syntax is the structure of a language in terms of how its parts (nouns, verbs, etc.) fit together.

Semantics is what something means.

Noam Chomsky used the sentence "colorless green ideas sleep furiously" as an example of perfect syntax with meaningless semantics.
yes but I want to know about referring to Sentence Patterns

Hello dennis69696
The problem is that your question is too general. It would be possible to write a ten page essay on the subject and still not answer the question you have in your mind.

Please can you give an example of a particular sentence pattern and a particular question about its syntax and semantics.
