Hello everyone.. i just need to ask you something... I've found this phrase:

"all-you-can-eat dinner buffet" I decided to use it and my english teacher changed it for "buffet dinner"...

It's wrong to say dinner buffet??

There are dinner buffet style restaurants, and then there are buffet dinners. You teacher may be correct if you used it to describe a type of dinner party which would be a buffet dinner.

"dinner buffet" is a type of buffet (the buffet is served at dinner).
"buffet dinner" is a type of dinner (the dinner is served as a buffet).
So which do you mean?
Yes, because it was a buffet serving dinner, not lunch. Other wise it would have been a lunch buffet. But, I can say we had a lunch buffet party yesterday at the weding.

You were right. But it doesn't matter. I have heard it reversed without changing the meaning. Dinner Buffet or Buffet dinner, all the same to me!
