Hello,
I am not sure of the translation of the word "discutable" in that context:
"Bien que l'application de cette méthode reste discutable, elle donne de bons résultats"
My try:
"Even though, the application of this method is debatable, it gives good results"
I am not sure of the meaning of debatable

The meaning seems fine to me.

(I prefer to keep remain than to change it to "is," because the latter is not what it's written in the original).
