Hello,

I have a question about the use of "display" in the following sentence:

"those aqueous protocols displayed a restricted scope since they were largely limited by the nature of the substrates"

Maybe I'm wrong but for me "display" has some kind of possitive connotation, so I don't know if "to display a restricted scope" (a negative feature) sounds right or I should be using another verb.

thanks in advance πŸ‘ Smile :)

To display is merely to show or evince. There is nothing wrong with its usage in your example.
