Dissimilation refers to a process in which two similar sounds become ( ) alike.
Would the answer be "dissimilar"? Could you give me other candidates?
Hi,

Do you want us to insert a word in the ( )? If so, I would put (less) alike.
"Dissimilar" is not strange, but dissimilar and alike are opposites. You can't use "dissimilar" to modify "alike". Suzzzenn's suggestion works very well.
Hi,

No I don't think dissimilar is strange, but it can't be followed by "alike" in this case. Also, it sounds a redundant to say that dissimilation makes similar sounds dissimilar even if it is true! 👁 Smile :)
