Could you please help me to understand the following sentence [a small independent company produced a CD and has problems with marketing] :
We continue to discuss various ways of getting the CD out on a national level, getting it into brick-and-mortar stores, and having a distribution network.
Do I get it right that " a distribution network" means they want to find their own way to sell the CD online, for ex. through their website? Or is it something else? I'll be thankfull for any explanations (I have not further context, it's just mentioned in the text, and that it did not work out).
