Hi,

How can I paraphrase "divinely ordered" for example in this sentence:

"The temple, the Israelites’ replica of the cosmos, was in ruins;..." (K. Armstrong, Case for God).

Is it simply cosmos that is ordered (arranged) by God?

Thank you.
cosmos that is ordered (arranged) by God?
Yes, it means "regulated"; "controlled". This use is usually restricted to archaic and religious language.
