Earliest day

An online shopping website has come up with an idea of an offer. As per the offer, the prices of some products will decrease each day by a certain percentage until someone buys them. Ethan wants to buy a television and he has $800 to spend. The television that he wanted, is listed at $900 on the first day of the offer period. The price will be reduced by 4% each day. On which day of the offer period can he afford to buy the television?
A) 2nd day
B) 3rd day
C) 4th day
D) 5th day
The answer for this question is '3rd day'. But if he can afford it on the 3rd day, he can afford it on 4th day also. So, 4th day is also an answer.
To avoid this, I tried to rephrase the question sentence to "What is the earliest day of the offer period can he afford to buy the television?"

Does it read well now?
"What is the earliest day of the offer period can he afford to buy the television?" 👁 Cross :cross:
"What is the earliest day of the offer period that he can afford to buy the television?" 👁 Tick :tick:

"What is the earliest day of the offer period on which he can afford to buy the television?" 👁 Tick :tick:

In a question, you reverse word order once ("is what"-->"what is"), not more than once.
The original only reverses word order once:

On which day of the offer period can he afford to buy the television?
