emission

Hello, everyone

In order to avoid repetition, I need to paraphrase "carbon dioxide emissions" in the question below. I think sine “carbon dioxide” is unchangeable, I should try to paraphrase "emissions"

The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (co2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.

1. The amount of average carbon dioxide emitted/released /produced /exhausted /discharged by each person.(not sure if all those verbs are accurate)
2. The gas level in the UK
3. People in the UK and Sweden released less and less carbon dioxide.
4. Sweden was the second largest carbon dioxide emission nation in 1967.
5. gas discharge per person

Thanks very much
I would avoid "emitted by each person" as that sounds as though each person exhales that amount of carbon dioxide. I think "produced" is the most apt.
Carbon dioxide can be abbreviated, as in the original to CO2
I would also use CO2 rather than gas.
