estultificar

Hello! I found a word in one of my school books which I do not recognize. The word is "estultificar". It seems that it gives the idea of not tacking something seriously or something like that. Since I do not know the meaning in Spanish, it is hard for me to translate it into English. I would really appreciate if someone knows something about this strange verb.

Esa palabra no existe en castellano. Se me ocurre que es una "traducción literal" de "stultify", que según este diccionario significa "anquilosar, atrofiar"

Muchas gracias AndyLopez! esa es una buena explicacion de porqué no encuentro la palabra en la Doña (Real Academia) ni en los diccionarios mexicanos. Y sí; el significado que propones queda con el contexto.
