Hi, I am working on a file for New Look’s Spring/Summer 2013 Swimwear collection, do they mean by exotic here weird prints or prints inspired by Tropical region?

India is referenced in vibrant colours and exotic prints whilst a hint of Africa is found in prints of leopard and snake.

It must mean "prints inspired by exotic lands." At first, I thought it would mean "animal prints," but the context makes it clear that this isn't the case. So I understand "exotic prints" as meaning "Indian-style prints that seem exotic to the Western consumer."
