Hi everyone,
Does the following sentence make sense? Is it grammatical?

I saw the leaves fallen.
I saw the plane flown.

Cheers

The first one is ungrammatical. It should be either I saw the leaves fall or I saw the fallen leaves.

The second one is fine.
I see. As for the "I saw the plane flown." I wonder if this is grammatical or not. I would like to have a third opinion.

Interesting. I would have said that both make sense but neither is grammatical (I saw the leaves fall / I saw the leaves falling / I saw the fallen leaves - I saw the plane fly)

Would you say that
"I saw the plane flown",
"I saw the plane being flown"
"I saw the plane fly"
mean the same?

Thanks. Stef

I saw something/somebody _____.

It seems to me that we can't fit a past participle of intransitive verb here in the blank. Am I right?

The following seem to involve intransitive verbs:

I saw the car wrecked.

I saw her praised.

I saw them stolen.

In all these cases, the past participle can be considered an adjective.

On the contrary, Wreck, Praise, and Steal are all transitive, aren't they:
They wrecked the car, stole the car, praised the police.

Trying to help.

You are quite right, Stefan Ivanovich.
Could anyone give me a sentence using the past participle form of intransitive verb, like "gone, lived, run, etc" in the following environment?
I saw something/somebody _____.
