faraway / far away

Should it be "regardless of how far away from this world they take you" or "regardless of how faraway from this world they take you"?

What's the difference between the two?

I know that most fairy tales start this way "Once upon a time in a faraway land there lived..." or something like that, but to be honest, I guess that's the only time I've seen "faraway" in just one word.
I think "faraway" is only ever one word when it's an adjective, as in "in a faraway land...".

Otherwise it's "regardless of how far away..." 👁 Smile :)
I'd separate the words unless you are using them adjectivally. So it's regardless of how far away from this world... and in a faraway land.
