I wonder if we can use "first class" to describe something that is good. For example, She studied very hard and finally she went a first class college.

How about "second class"? For example, She was lazy and didn't study hard so she just went to a second class college.

We can and often do use "first-class" to mean "very good/excellent": She studied very hard and was admitted to a first-class college.

How about "second class"?
You can use "second-class" to describe something that isn't very good: Because she was lazy, she was only able to attend a second-class college.
