Hello, everyone.

: saying why something gives you a sense of achievement

Can I use for + ing meaning because in the following sentence?:

1) Running a marathon will give you a sense of achievement for having been able to finish it.

I'm thinking about other alternatives like 2) "as a result of having been able to finish it" or 3) "stemming from your ability to finish it", but I'm rather unsure about all three options. What do you think?

Thank you in advance.
"For having been able to finish it" sounds better to me than the alternative versions.
