Parlando ad un fantino, prima di una corsa, una persona dice "Make sure you keep him(il cavallo) clear of the fray"
Qualcuno sa dirmi cosa significa fray in questo contesto?
Di solito "fray" indica un gruppo di persone facendo una lotta/rissa. (sbarablio?)

Ma in questo contesto il "fray" probabilmente indica il gruppo centrale dei cavalli durante la gara.

È come il "peloton" durante il "Giro d'Italia".
