Je ne parviens pas á trouver une traduction pour 'gin palace' en francais. Une idée??

There's a page on Wikipedia about gin palaces - which began as very ornate establishments but there were cheaper and more down-market examples which gave them a bad name. One of the last authentic ones is in High Holborn London - The Princess Louise (see the Wikipedia page on that as well). The equivalent would be les troquets ou les zincs sur les Grands Boulevards parisiens à l'heure verte - if one can take la fée verte as a French equivalent to london gin.
Context is needed here as (in BE at least) a gin palace can also mean a luxurious boat such that you might see in the harbour at Monte Carlo.
