The boy took the gift happily with the holiday.

Is happily properly used in this sentence? I am trying to use adverbial sentence.

Thanks.
Hi Bigtime

Could you tell us what is your intended meaning, because I can't make it out?
I looks correct grammatically but I am not sure precisely what you want to say. Could you explain how the gift and the holiday are connected?.
I am not saying the happy boy to make it an adjective sentence.
I am trying to describe the status of happiness of the holiday and connect it with the first part of the sentence.

You need to think about exactly what you are trying to say, and then try to explain that in English. Otherwise you need to go to the Arabic forum. At the moment you are applying an adverb to the verb took - that is, you are saying that the boy took, happily, the gift. It was the taking of the gift that gave him a state of happiness. Your sentence says nothing about the degree of happiness achieved by going on the holiday.
