Hello,

- referring to a printout of a document sent by email or sourced on a computer.

I have found the term copie papier.

When I googled this term, I got mostly Canadian sites.

I was wondering if there was a specific European term then? (by the way, I love the Canadian term, I was just wondering if there were alternatives).

Je ne trouve pas du tout le terme critiquable, j'emploie aussi le terme papier , je parle par exemple de dictionnaires papier, pour les distinguer de leurs homologues numériques.

Mais je n'ai jamais dit copie papier, je dis l'impression, tout simplement.

The (imho really useful) distinction between hard and soft in English IT terms doesn't apply in French does it. Hardware/software hardcopy/softcopy, 'hard-wired', and 'firmware' even.

"ainsi que sur papier" suffirait, il me semble.
Y a-t-il une expression particulière en français qui équivaudrait "hard copy" (par rapport à une copie virtuelle) en anglais? Une copie imprimée, peut-être?
