Hi everyone, this has to do with one the components or issues that a graduate student must include in his/her research project.

In Spanish is:
"Sectores de impacto de la investigación"

My try is:

Sectors (fields) affected (impacted) by research.

Thanks for your help.

I think you have posted this in the wrong forum. I would prefer "affected by", although "impacted by" is definitely used.

I can't help you with "sectors" vs. "fields". If you ask the same question in the Spanish forum and provice more context, I think you will get a more reliable answer. 👁 Smile :)
Well, I had already sent this thread to Spanish-English forum but nobody answered it. (At least when I checked it the last time).
The use of fields and sectors is not so important (I will use fields) like the use of impacted by and you responded. So I appreciate a lot your help. 👁 Smile :)

I'm sorry to hear that. Different forums are active at different times of the day.

The phrase "impacted by" could be a discussion of its own. To me it seems like a needlessly complicated way to say "affected by", and I don't like it. Again, other people may disagree, so wait for other opinions, please! 👁 Smile :)
Moderator note: jc963, twenty minutes is not a reasonable expectation for a response time in the WR forums. It is perfectly normal to wait a full day for a response, depending on the forum and which members happen to be present at the time.
You are quite welcome to ask questions here in English only, but when you do, please do not include the Spanish text. Instead, try to provide context by describing in more detail what it is you'd like to say.
