Is correct to use impatient in this sentence?

I was impatient to open my gifts.

Or is there a more suitable adjective?

Thanks in advance!
Well, Vicky22 might not have been "too" impatient, she might have had her impatience under control.

"eager" would be fine if you had a strong desire to open your gifts, but "impatient" could be appropriate, too.
Sorry,

Is it correct!!!

Please correct my mistakes!
Hi Vicky,

"I was impatient to open my gifts." is grammatically correct.
"I was impatient to open my gifts" is a grammatical English sentence, and it is possible to be "impatient" about opening gifts. "Impatient" is a suitable adjective if you wanted to open your gifts sooner and disliked having to wait to open them.

"Eager" would probably be suitable too, but has a more positive connotation than "impatient." If you were thinking forward to opening the gifts, "eager" might be better; if you were focusing on the negative emotions around having to wait, then use "impatient."
I wrote "Is correct to use ......"

The right one is " Is it correct to use..."

Do you agree?

Thank you. Yes, you should include "it" in that sentence 👁 Smile :)
