Ciao,
I usually take part in the Italian-English forum, but now I have a big favour to ask you all: I have a "distance-adopted" child in Brazil and I'd like to send her a little present for Christmas. Could you help me to write a short letter please?
Something like this:

Dear Leticia (or Hello Leticia),
Unfortunately I don't speak portuguese yet and i cannot write you long letters, but i'm going to learn a bit of it.
This is a small present for you to remind me. I hope you are fine, i think of you very often and i hope i'll be able to meet you one day.
Happy Christmas!
