Jaded

Sorry for excessive quotation!

But what does "jaded" mean?

Aerosmith "Jaded":
Yeah you're so jaded
Baby....
You're so jaded
'Cause I'm the one that jaded you (I hope I didn't break any rules).

Bye

I don't know what it means in this context because singers have a tendency to just make up words that sound catchy or use them out of context, but usually jaded means one is tired or bored of something.

"He became jaded by the excessive number of rock concerts," he grew tired of them, didn't like them anymore, they exhausted him, etc.

Is it something shameful in this case?

I don't think it's shameful, and I don't even think that even if you knew the definition of the word you'd be able to understand what he is singing about. Like I said, singers have a tendency to use words out of their true context or just makeup new words that sound interesting just so they attract attention. Who knows what it means in this context. Maybe she is jaded by going out with too many men, dating too many people, etc. I don't know. Most music has some sexual component, so this might be plausible. I would stay away from music.

In Russian it is called "ahineya". It may be called neologisms in music.👁 Big Grin :D
Jaded is common as an adjective, with the meanings given above. However, in the line "I'm the one who jaded you", "jaded" is treated as the past tense of the transitive verb "to jade". This verb form is much less familiar, and even may appear to be a coinage. However, the WRF does give a definition for jade as a verb: "to wear out or tire."

That meaning is plausible here. However, I suspect the singer intends us to understand that he caused his girlfriend to be jaded in the first meaning the WRF dictionary gives the adjective: "dulled by surfeit".

Insofar as this is an unusual sense to give the verb, it is a creative use of language - though clear enough in context.
Hi! I think even if you look up a word in the dictionary, you might not be able to understand the connotation. For me, "jaded" offers a sense of dulled senses, say someone is completely worn out mentally and physically, and they are left just kind of numb. I hope this helps you!
