Hello there 👁 Smile :)
,,

I've just come across a new phrasal verb on the internet.

'Keep somebody informed.'

I reckon it means keep informing somebody.

But, I don't quite understand the structure. (Keep + verb <past form>)

Could anyone help me?

Thanks

In a way, I suppose it does.

It means keeping that person apprised of the latest pertinent details relating to a particular event, and so that would involve a steady drip-feed of relevant information.

I don't think I'd want to call this a phrasal verb. It's just a particular use of keep, and I think that many would call 'informed' an adjective in this case.

See: keep - WordReference.com Dictionary of English (sense #4): "to remain or cause to remain in a specified state or condition: keep the dog quiet, keep ready"
Thanks Beryl,,

After thinking for awhile, I estimate it's the same structure as have something done. Am I right?

Like : Have me informed, have me scared, etc..
Yes. It's the same structure. 'You had me scared', 'you got me drunk', 'you held me captive', and 'you kept me informed'.
