You can call it that as long as each of you understands what latex means. If you want other people to understand what you are talking about, it would probably make more sense to call it sap.

Thank you so much Egmont.What you described may be sap or it may be latex. They are two different liquids that can come out when plants are cut. Find out which liquid you have, and use the correct term for it. (If the liquid is white and milky, it's probably latex. If it's transparent and sticky, it's probably sap.)
