Hi people,
"Lay down suppression fire" seems to be some military term. Could it mean : "feu à volonté", but if I get it right you don't suppose to kill the enemy.
The acting takes place during WW2 in France and as a german soldier shows up, the lieutenant says : "Lay down suppression fire", that way he could manage to help some wounded soldier.
So I need some help to translate it in French. Thanks a lot !
