La frase è "What the hell is that lying in your flowers?"
Lo dice una vedova che sta pulendo la tomba del marito.

For the gerrund form of "to lay", you can either say "lying" or "laying".
si peò non ha molto senso. Non è che ha un altro significato?
Ad esempio si può tradurre dicendo:" che diavolo c'è nei tuoi fiori?"

To lie significa 2 diversi cose
1- mentire
2- mettere giu' (si puo' dire both "to lay" oppure "to lie")

Che cosa c'e' nei tuoi fiori? Non e' una bugia, e' una cosa che c'e'. Forse qualcuno ce l'ha messo, chissa', non importa, ma c'e' una cosa probabilmente una cosa that shouldn't be there. Allora, What is that thing lying/laying in your flowers??????
