marginal

Bonjour

En français "marginal" peut aussi avoir le sens de "limité".

Voici une phrase en français pour le contexte :

La vie en milieu rural est marginale et l’agriculture hautement mécanisée.

Et ma traduction anglaise :

The life in rural communities is limited and the agriculture is highly mecanized.
(this sentence means : there are less people living in the countryside than before and the agriculture is highly mecanized)

Est-ce que "limited" est un bon équivalent anglais pour "marginale" selon le contexte de ma phrase ?

Votre opinion s.v.p.

Merci👁 Smile :)

I would say ...
"Population in rural communities is marginal therefore agriculture is highly mechanised."

"the life" - doesn't really work here

Also note: mechanised BE / mechanized AE
Thank you for your answer, merci beaucoup.

I will keep all your sentence except "therefore"

Population in rural communities is marginal and agriculture is highly mechanised."

That's exactly what I meant.
