Hi

I'm struggling with a sentence I don't understand. It's about regulatory controls in Environmental law :

"The regulatory bodies also have a range of other powers to assist them in their work, e.g. to require that monitoring to detect possible pollution is carried out"

If someone could help me by translating it in french or by explaining it with other words, that would help me a lot !

Actually I just realised that it's a sentence with the subjunctive because of the word "require". I could have thought of this earlier

les organes de régulation ont également un panel de capacités/pouvoirs additionnel(le)s pour les aider dans leur tâche, par exemple exiger qu'une surveillance des (sources) possibles (de) pollutions soit assurée.
