How do you translate in french "mop head".. just the bottom part of the mop without the handle
Why bottom when it's mop-?

L'extrémité qui lave :
- les franges (ou le support à franges) d'un lave-pont ou d'un balai à franges
- l'éponge d'un balai-éponge

As-tu cherché de ton côté, sbielg ?
Mop-head is the head of the mop which is used to mop up. 👁 Wink ;)

However, to follow that very banale comment: mop-head is an insult for a potato-head, or a dumb-head or a turnip-head or a sponge-head because all ressemble the head of the person you wish to insult.
May I suggest that context is all? contexte, context 👁 Confused

Hi everyone. Thank you for your replies.
I think that " support a franges" is the best translation.
I just wasn't sure that it was a common word used in france/canada
