Hello everyone, 皆様、こんにちは。 👁 Smile :)
How can I say "news update" in Japanese? 👁 Confused
It sounds easy, but it actually has been a real head-scratcher for me and my Japanese friends... 👁 Er... what? o_O
I would like to write (in a business context) the following:
"I wanted to send you this email to give you an informal news update (about me)."
My try:
"形式ばらない新しいアップデートをしたく、メールさせていただきました。"
It is clear to me that I cannot use "新着情報", as this wording is only intended for journalistic news, but what about life/personal news from yourself or a friend? How do you call that in Japanese? 👁 Confused
My attempt sounds perhaps a bit odd... Any suggestions from natives which are more apt (and/or more idiomatic) for a business context are more than welcome! 👁 Wink ;)
