The English in your example is not correct - what is "proper use" and "business stop" and how can you "avoid nice-to-have requests"?

non-essential =
like-to-have or
want-to-have but not
must-have.
All these phrases depend on the contrast with the very common phrase "must-have" used as a noun/adjective.
Other possible ones are
good-to-have,
need-to-have,
got-to-have and the slang
wanna-have,
gotta-have.
I'm not sure what other French phrases could be used!
