Hello everyone, I just wanted to know what "that much of a nick" meant.
Here's the phrase:"It was fantastic, I loved it, Muddy Waters recorded it but I couldn't sing like Muddy Waters so it wasn't that much of a nick."
I'm not 100% sure but it might mean "copy" in this sentence. To nick is slang for "to steal". I'm guessing that the person who has recorded Muddy Water's song is claiming that it is something a bit better than a straight copy of the original.
