Hola todos,

I have a friend in Spain who often says (sarcastically) "¡te voy a far una Paliza hasta que hables latín!" I was wondering if anybody else had heard this phrase, or is it just a one-off catchphrase that he uses. He insists it's his invention but I'm dubious ad you can imagine!

I´m going to beat you up until you speak Latin? Ýes, I believe he invented it. Why not? Never heard it before...
I hear here------"habla latin"-----be competent, be sensible, with it.

Only a suggestion-----"I'm going to knock some sense into you"-----figuratively.
