per print

Hello! I'm translating a text that talks about movies and box-office. I don't understand the meaning of "per print" in this context.

"Ma Vie en Rose came in fifth place with 37,190$ per print after taking 409,870 with just 11 prints " Could you help me? Thank you!πŸ‘ Smile :)
I agree with bibliolept in that the text refers to how much was taken in at each individual theater showing the film. (Bear in mind that a multiplex cinema has many individual theaters.) The usual expression in Hollywood is, I believe, "per screen."

" came in fifth place with $37,190 per screen after taking in $409,870 on just 11 screens."

Perhaps "per print" is used in other countries to mean the same thing, since each individual theater has a single screen, on which a single print is shown.
