pouch

Hi, everybody!
Could someone help me with the word from the documentary film "Murder of Crows"? Here is the adjacent phrases.

If they suspect theyโ€™ve been seen, crows will move their cache, defend it, or they may even fake cache: Keep food in their pouch and only pretend to bury it.

First I thought they keep the food in the craw (crop), but it appeared they have no craw at all. I can surmise they keep it either in the claws or somewhere in the beginning of the digestive system (beak, throat, even stomach). Probably there is some unexpected meaning of the word 'pouch' that is not mentioned in the dictionaries.
Exactly where the crow's pouch is located is probably a question for zoologists to answer, but you're right in assuming it's a bag-like cavity somewhere within the anatomical structure of the bird. Probably in its beak.
The anatomy of birds is quite a specific question for a language forum. A google search often helps better for this kind of thing. Typing in "crows" "food" and "pouch" gives all the information you need. Such as -
"Corvids do not carry food in their beaks, but rather in their throat or in a small pouch within the chin, under the tongue"
