Hi, everybody!
Could someone help me with the word from the documentary film "Murder of Crows"? Here is the adjacent phrases.
If they suspect theyโve been seen, crows will move their cache, defend it, or they may even fake cache: Keep food in their pouch and only pretend to bury it.
First I thought they keep the food in the craw (crop), but it appeared they have no craw at all. I can surmise they keep it either in the claws or somewhere in the beginning of the digestive system (beak, throat, even stomach). Probably there is some unexpected meaning of the word 'pouch' that is not mentioned in the dictionaries.
