Hi, everyone:

Due to the delay, the meeting will be prolonged for another five minutes.

I search "meeting*prolonged for", but I get so few result

Results 1 - 18 of about 27 for "meeting*prolonged for". (0.18 seconds

I wonder if it's the correct way to say it.

Best wishes.
Hi hly,

the meeting will be prolonged for another five minutes is fine

perhaps better than what many chairpeople say:

the meeting will go on for another five minutes
Hi, Thomas Topion, Thank you!

I wonder if I could say "the meeting will go on/be prolonged for another five minutes", at the beginning of the meeting to inform the audience.

For example:
The meeting is supposed to begin at 2:30 pm and last for an hour.
Due to an unexpected delay, it is actually held at 3:00pm.
How should I tell the audience that the meeting will wrap up at 4:00 pm?

I'd say because of an unexpected delay (due to is adjectival. owing to would be fine)
How should I tell the audience that the meeting will wrap up at 4:00 pm?👁 Tick :tick:
Say it will end at 4.00. I think many people say will wrap up in this context

I'd actually say go on for another five minutes - prolong suggests a longer continuation of the discussion.
