hi!
i m actually watching a tv show called "breaking bad",kind of a drug-dealer-methamphetamine-cooker story.they always use the word "pseudo",seems like it s something they need to cook!could someone explain the meaning of it??
thx
(and sorry for my english)
pseudo is like a, a kind of ... etc

Not quite. "Pseudo" as an adjective means something closer to "fake."

"Pseudo code," for instance, is something that appears to be code, but actually isn't.
Hi dishboul, and welcome to the forum!

This is, um, outside my area of expertise, but I would guess that "pseudo" here is an abbreviation for pseudoephedrine, which is used to make methamphetamines. It used to be available in the US over the counter without any restrictions, but it is now much more carefully controlled because of its association with methamphetamines.

By the way, your English is good. Work on your capitalization, though👁 Wink ;)
that must be it,kitenok, thx a lot!!i couldnt keep watching without knowing!!strong knowledge in chemistry btw!

Pseudo, from greek:ψευδής, is a prefix meaning false, untruthful, lying, fraudulent ( i.e. pseudoscience, pseudophilisophy etc.).
And if you liked pseudoephedrine, this one will kill you:Pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism (it is an inherited disorder, named for its similarity to pseudohypoparathyroidism in presentation.)

I would readily agree with kitenok, especially in the context you've given.
