Push up here

Hi members!

I drank a cartoon of milk this morning and I saw this "Push up here". It got me thinking.
You know, when you open a cartoon, you tear it and the opening becomes flat, and then you need to "push it up" so that it opens and you can pour the liquid out or drink it. I thought about if I were to write an instruction on the area which people needed to push up, what would I write?

That "Push up here" sounded okay to me. What do you think? I was thinking whether using the here is correct, because it's an adverb. Is there another word that is more suitable? I can't think of any. What about "this area"??

Thanks so much!
I need to Push up here, It get me thinking as well. Here and there, Here: It describing where you are AT and near from you and "There": Far away from you and not make it non-sense how do you "Push it down" the Carton milk when it was far from you. How about "Press it here". correct me if I am wrong.
"Press here" might also work in this situation. It depends in the design of the carton and how it is supposed to open.

"Here" and "there" do not just mean "close to you" and "far from you" in terms of any significant distance. If I'm showing someone a photo of my family, I might say "Here's my mother" or "There's my Aunt Hattie" as I point to them in the photo.
"Here you are" and "There you are". Start here,Go there!

I will go there with you and you will go here with me. Do you get the difference? at the distance. Correct me again if I am wrong for twice. Thank you

People would wonder what "it" was - "Press a knife here." perhaps. So:
"Press here."
People would probably push inward (like pressing a button), not upward.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. "Here you are" and "There you are" do not mean "Start here, go there," nor do they mean "I will go there with you and you will go there with me."
