Se c'è un architetto fra voi, mi aiuti per favore a tradurre "rake pan flashing"; so che flashing sono i rivestimenti di lamiera sottile del tetto dove sopra si posano le tegole (sottocolmi?) - ma rake pan che vuol dire? suppongo che pan stia per panel, pannello; ma... rake? cos'altro vuol dire oltre a rastrello? o magari esiste una copertura che si chiama proprio così !?

rake significa inclinazione. rake pan flashing e' una pre-fabrica cosa per il tetto anti-piove or l'acqua.

I've got the meaning of all those words in English if it is of any help. I'll try and get the Italian translation.
Rake
The edge of a roof which intersects the gable part of a roof.
Panel or Panel Length 1) The distance between two adjacent panel points of a joist or joist girder 2) A sheet of deck for a roof or floor.
Flashing Pieces of sheet metal or the like used to cover and protect joints, etc. where a roof comes in contact with a wall or chimney.
Bale, I can't find the precise words in Italian. Maybe someone will be able to translate it from the meanings given in the previous post.
Bale, I've tried to translate the word rake which was your main concern. I don't know if it is correct. Does it make any sense to you at all?

Qui "pan" è piu come "piatto" per indicare del metallo piano sul tetto a falda -- sotto gli elementi di copertura -- per farlo impermeabile.

Re 'lattoniere/stagnaio' WR dictionary dosn't have either of these words. By 'whitesmith' do you mean a metal morker working with soft metals e.g. lead and zinc, c.f. 'blacksmith'? With respect to lead or zinc metal work on a roof to prevent water penetration, this tradesperson is called a 'plumber'.

Well, in Italy a plumber would not work on roofs. The jobs connected with roof (water) isolation or roof gutters in general is carried on by lattonieri.

i agree!!
i'm italian but didn't know the word "tettoaro".. it must be some dialect, i guess..very nice word, anyway..
but maybe we need an architect or a technician who can speak Italian and English very well!

No....I just got the italian word for roofe "tetto" and added "aro" for a person who does work on tetti. I did not know the word "lattoniere"

Ho un libro d'inglese per l'architettura che mi traduce "flashing" con scossalina, antigoccia.
E sempre lo stesso libro, traduce "rake" con inclinazione.
