refund

Hi,

I'm writing to Ensure agency, requesting the to stop the car insurance. I don't know if I used proper prepositions with "refund" verb.

"Please, cancel my insurance certificate and Policy number XXXXXXX for car XXXXXX registration mark XXX XXX. The reason of this cancellation is sale on 29.07.2011. Insurance was concluded from XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXX. I would like to ask for refound of XXX - XXX period of time for this account:
/account credentials/

Regards
XYZ"

taking this one step further, is the use of the preposition 'of in 'the bank refunded me of my money' wrong or just plain clumsy
The bank refunded the money.
The bank refunded the money to him.
He got a refund.
He got a refund of 100 dollars.
He got a refund of some of the money he had paid.
