Role Model

Is it it appropriate to use this phrase or idiom "You're a true role model." to someone who did something very sweet for their husband in Valentine's day?

An example would be the husband telling me what his wife did something nice for him, surprised him with tickets to an NBA game or whatever. So is it appropriate to approach her & say: "You're a true role model."

But obviously, what she did for him was more than that. Instead of going elsewhere work-related, let's say a Beyonce concert, she stayed home & prioritized the family this year because family comes first. I wouldn't say she sacrificed a lot by not going, but it speaks volume since it was Beyonce/Tupac/Superbowl level of status on what she missed on & it was work at the same time. She surprised her family with gifts on Valentine's Day morning.

Sorry if the example was a bit narcissistic, just wanted to give a somewhat accuratet in-depth example so you can fully grasp or understand to why I would say "You're a true role model" to her.

Thank you for all the help.
