Roll-out project

Hi was just wondering what this means? It seems to be an IT term, relating to an ICT project. Does it mean that the project is spread out over several months?
The entire sentence might be nice.

"Roll-out" means to bring a product to market, to make it accessable, start promoting it, start advertising it.

A "roll-out project" would be a project that does all of the above.
To roll out is to initiate something (a change, a solution, a product). Microsoft is getting ready to roll out Vista.

When a company begins switching their computers from Dell to HP, they're rolling out the new systems.

When the government creates a new program they would have to roll it out when the behind-the-scenes work is complete.
