Country people run wild when they go shopping in the city and stagger home loading with as many items as they can carry.
Could you help me improve this sentence?
I feel some words are missing before stagger?

What words before 'stagger' were you thinking of? You should change 'loading' to 'loaded', but it looks fine, otherwise..

As written, "run wild" seems to apply to both the shopping and the staggering home. Replace and with then, add they, correct loading to loaded, insert a semicolon and a comma:

Country people run wild when they go shopping in the city; then they stagger home, loaded with as many items as they can carry.
