se conserva

Hi, i have translated
"Se conserva la estructura original de la casa en su planta baja y la cueva"
as
"The original structure of the house is conserved in the ground floor and in the cave"

I'm not sure if I have used the verb and the prepositions correctly.

Can anyone check, please?
It sounds ok to me.

The cave part seems a bit strange, cellar would seem more appropriate over here but maybe the house was built into a cave, so cave it must be!
Maybe this would be better:

"The cave and ground floor works have conserved the original structure of the house."
